My Scope of Practice, Policies, and Legal Bits & Bobs

my scope of practice

I have a Masters degree in Coaching from Oxford Brookes University and my dissertation was an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis of the experience of Self-doubt. I also hold a Diploma in Coaching Supervision.

I provide evidence-based, ethically-grounded, trauma-informed coaches services to individuals, groups and organisations.

The Self-belief Coaching proprietary framework, including models, curriculum, content and tools are original works inspired and informed by over 12 years of professional education, training and experience.

Anything I lead, teach, consult or mentor on are educational and motivational tools not medical, therapeutic or psychological advice.

If we work together and you have needs outside my scope of practice, I will hold space for you and then do my best to connect you with appropriate resources and referrals.

I receive regular professional supervision both as a coach, and a supervisor of coaches.

INTEGRITY IS A LIVED VALUE FOR ME

I want you to know that the fundamentally unique, never-to-be-repeated, utter one-offness of YOU, is deeply valued here. Your needs, goals, values, and perspectives - your presence - are both welcome and necessary for this shared, collective experience. There is a seat for you here, and all of you is welcome – including your age, nationality, gender expression, religious traditions, physical ability, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, body size, neurodiversity, visible and invisible disability, racial identity and choice of pronouns.

You can rely on me, and the tiny but mighty support team to hold groups with collective boundaries and individual accountability.

I am continually learning about systems of oppression that we are all subject to. This means I strive to be aware of and challenge my own assumptions and biases. I actively seek to create inclusive spaces both in person and online. I aim to challenge hegemonies and question the lack of representation. As this learning stretches and grows me, I endeavour to evolve the ways I show up to my work, in order to be of service.

I do not coach anyone under the age of 18. Coaching is not a good fit if you are in crisis, recently bereaved, or financially struggling.

COMMENTS & FEEDBACK

This site has been in existence in various forms, since 2007. ALL aspects of my body of work are a semi-permanent, point-in-time snapshots of my learning and ideas.

My thoughts and opinions evolve and change. This is a consequence of being an engaged and critical thinker, and of living with an open heart and mind.

Conflict is inevitable and often a source of growth; I welcome respectful disagreement and encourage healthy debate.

All comments on all forums, apps and social spaces are monitored. Comments will be deleted if I consider them offensive or disrespectful. Commenters may be asked to leave. Commenters may be blocked and reported.
